My Second Act
Capturing Moments Through The Lens
When I was a young teenager I was fortunate to travel for 5 weeks through Europe. My father before I left bought me a Minolta SRT-101 35mm SLR Film Camera, which ended up taking over 40 rolls of film in a 5 week trip. Not many of those photographs remain, the memories and the love of photography live on.
As I got older I ended up being interested in other pursuits, one of which became a 25 year IT / Programming career. Started by resetting passwords at a Fortune 500 to owning my own firm. Along the way I built many interesting applications and enjoyed the programmers life. As I turned 50 I found my interest in the field waning and began seeking other pursuits.
in 2015 my wife and I bought a bus and began to travel. Along the way I began to dial back into photography after many years. Along the way we have visited everything from Area 51 to Cape Disappointment to Wako Beach on Lake Michigan to Margaritas in Mexico. FearlessBus.com documents that journey, the return to photography was a huge part.
In 2018 I worked for several months as a photographer on the Cumbres and Toltec line. It was my first “Professional” gig in photography. I gained valuable experience shooting everyday, living in someone else’s work flow, and interacting with 100’s of customers everyday. Along the way I was able to photograph many amazing locations along the route.
Thru 2022, living in the world of COVID, I became restless like many. During this time I studied and passed my FAA Part 107. These days I’m working on my flying and capture skills while we are awaiting on travel again due to a family issue.
